A rare find! This period child's hat from the 1920s is as elaborate
as any mother might have worn. The peach silk fabric is woven with
floral sprigs and a lattice pattern of metallic thread. The hat is
further trimmed with silver metallic lace and dark mink, then edged
with delicate floral hand made lace which is also used as a chin strap
to keep the hat from falling off. It snaps to one side.

1920's Liberty & Co., London Velvet Cloche
A fashionable yet sporty 1920's velvet flapper cloche from Liberty & Company of Regent Street, London. Liberty has been known for their fashionable clothing well before their floral prints. This fitted 20s hat is made of soft green velvet with rows of machine stitching forming a plaid pattern across the crown and concentric circles around the brim which can be worn turned up in the back or down.
Fancy Victorian Lady's Toque Bonnet Circa 1890s

Lady's hat. Metallic lace, woven straw and chenille as well as silk
flowers, ribbons and ostrich tips make for a fanciful bit of finery.
Antique Chantilly Lace & Horsehair Wide Brim Flapper Cloche
This elegant 1920's wide brimmed ladies hat is made of horsehair crinoline with an overlay of black Chantilly lace. The deep fitted cloche style crown is encircled with a wide black satin ribbon band and is lined with a delicate layer of black tulle.
Liberty & Co. London Velvet Flapper Cloche with Heart Motifs
Concentric rows of stitching creates
heart motifs on this 1920s Liberty & Co., silk velvet cloche. The
stitching is carried across the narrow brim and a self band is
decorated on the right side with a rhinestone encrusted pin.

Exquisite Victorian Irish Crochet & Lace Child's Bonnet
This Edwardian period straw hat dates between 1908 and 1912. With an enormous straw crown and brim made to perch atop an upswept hair style, the hat is simply decorated with fuchsia silk ribbon wrapping the crown and forming a large bow at the back. The brim is covered with metallic embroidered tulle lace that is further embellished with pink crepe paper rose buds applied in rows across the brim.
Opulent 1940's Vintage Jeweled Velvet & Mink Hat
Dating to the mid 1940's this unusual hat certainly makes a statement! Styled with a high, mink crown and fitted velvet sides. The velvet wrap ties at the back of the head in a turban like manner and can then be worn like a scarf around the neck or left to fall loosely in the back.
Elegant Gage Brothers Velvet Hat with Beaded Brim Circa 1915
The Gage Brothers began making hats in the mid 1850's and continued through at least the 1920's. This wide brim hat dates between 1915 - 1920. With a beaded brim and large, painted comb- like decoration through the crown it makes quite a statement!
Scott & Co. London Label Top Hat Bullitt Provenance
This silk plush top hat was made by Scott & Co. of Old Bond Street, Piccadilly for William C. Bullitt (WCB) who was US Ambassador to Russia from 1933 - 1936 and Ambassador to France from 1936 - 1940.
1940s Ladies Fedora Knox Voyageur Braided Trim
This Knox Voyageur conjures images of Ingrid Bergman in the 1943 film
Casablanca, even the name of the hat, Voyageur, is evocative of travel
to exotic places.
