1920s Lamé and Fur Child's BonnetA rare find! This period child's hat from the 1920s is as elaborate as any mother might have worn. The peach silk fabric is woven with floral sprigs and a lattice pattern of metallic thread. The hat is further trimmed with silver metallic lace and dark mink, then edged with delicate floral hand made lace which is also used as a chin strap to keep the hat from falling off. It snaps to one side.

A fashionable yet sporty 1920's velvet flapper cloche from Liberty & Company of Regent Street, London. Liberty has been known for their fashionable clothing well before their floral prints. This fitted 20s hat is made of soft green velvet with rows of machine stitching forming a plaid pattern across the crown and concentric circles around the brim which can be worn turned up in the back or down.

Concentric rows of stitching creates heart motifs on this 1920s Liberty & Co., silk velvet cloche. The stitching is carried across the narrow brim and a self band is decorated on the right side with a rhinestone encrusted pin.

Victorian Irish Crochet & Lace Child's Bonnet

This Edwardian period straw hat dates between 1908 and 1912. With an enormous straw crown and brim made to perch atop an upswept hair style, the hat is simply decorated with fuchsia silk ribbon wrapping the crown and forming a large bow at the back. The brim is covered with metallic embroidered tulle lace that is further embellished with pink crepe paper rose buds applied in rows across the brim.
